Origin & history
Bred in the Netherlands in the early 20th century from small wild rabbits and Polish rabbits to create an especially small breed.
Care
Short coat needs little care, weekly brushing is enough. Still needs daily exercise time.
Ideal environment
Adapts well to apartments with a sufficiently large, secure enclosure. Should not be housed with much larger rabbits.
Feeding
Hay as the base diet, small portions given its tiny size - watch for weight gain.
Health
Prone to dental problems and heart conditions due to its extremely small size. Regular vet checkups are important.
