Terms of Service

Pawinia is a platform for managing your pets' health reminders, browsing a directory of rated providers, publishing lost/found listings, browsing a breed encyclopedia, participating in a community, and publishing listings (pet-sitting, dog-walking, rehoming, breeding).

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. An account is personal; it may not be shared beyond household members invited through the dedicated feature.

Creating an account, browsing the directory and breed encyclopedia, and publishing lost/found listings are free.

Adding a pet profile and accessing the community require an active subscription or trial: Standard plan (up to 2 pets) or XL plan (up to 5 pets).

The 14-day free trial requires a payment method to be registered. Unless cancelled before it ends, the paid subscription starts automatically once the trial ends and renews monthly via Stripe.

You may cancel at any time from your "Premium" area; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, amounts already billed are not refunded pro rata.

You remain the owner of the content you publish (photos, listings, messages). You grant Pawinia a non-exclusive licence necessary to display this content on the platform.

You agree not to publish any unlawful, misleading, defamatory content or content infringing on the rights of others — particularly in lost/found listings and pet-sitting or rehoming listings, which must remain accurate and made in good faith.

Interactions within the community must remain respectful. Pawinia may moderate, hide, or remove any content that violates these rules and may suspend an account for repeated violations.

SMS verification only confirms access to a phone number. The "Document verified" badge certifies that our team performed a document review (microchip number and supporting document); it is not an official check against the AMICUS registry and does not replace legal pet-ownership obligations in Switzerland.

For pet-sitting, dog-walking, rehoming, or breeding listings, Pawinia connects users but is not a party to the agreement made between them. Interactions (including any payment) take place directly between users, at their own responsibility.

Information from the directory (Google Places) is provided for informational purposes; Pawinia is not responsible for its accuracy.

To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Pawinia disclaims all liability for indirect damages arising from use of the service, as well as for acts or omissions of other users.

You may delete your account at any time. Pawinia may suspend or terminate an account for violation of these terms, in particular in the event of fraudulent listings or abusive behaviour toward other users.

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law, is the operator's registered place of business in Lausanne (VD).

Pawinia may amend these terms; the last revision date is shown at the top of the page. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
